Gareth Bale hope Cristiano Ronaldo decides to stay at Real Madrid amid reports suggesting he may return to England for a second spell.
The Portuguese superstar has had a compelling start to the season and is now level with Real icon Alfredo Di Stefano and former Athletic Bilbao striker Telmo Zarra for the record of most hattricks in La Liga (22).
Ronaldo has continuously been linked with a move to England and as well as linked to a return to his former club Manchester United, he has also been linked to fierce rivals Manchester City.
Despite these links, Real Madrid teammate Gareth Bale is certain he wants Ronaldo to stay at the club and hopes his future does not involve a return to the Premier League next season.
“Definitely not,” Bale said ahead of Wales’ Euro 2016 qualifiers against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Cyprus.
“He’s shown what a world-class player he is year after year scoring the goals.
“Obviously he’s a player we wouldn’t want to see leave.
“Of course, (I) want to see him stay at Real Madrid.”
