El-Clasico: Real Madrid edges Barcelona 3-1 as Suarez makes losing debut

real-madrid1
Real Madrid on Saturday at their Santiago Bernebau home ground defeated their bitter rivals Barcelona by 3-1.
Madrid had to come from a goal behind before responding with three goals that effectively ended Barca’s invincibility so far this season.
Before Saturday’s outing, Barcelona had won all their La Liga matches and even without conceding a goal.
The Catalan Giants had given the hosts some scare as they raced into the lead in the fourth minute off a goal from the boots of Brazilian prodigy, Neymar.
Madrid got back on level terms through their own talisman, Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored from the penalty spot to make scores 1-1.
It was a better second half for Real Madrid as the duo of Pepe and Karim Benzema were both on target for the European champions.
Unfortunately, Luis Suarez was making his competive debut for Barcelona on Saturday but his presence could not swing the result in the favour of his side who now have their lead at the top of the table cut to just one point.
